Credit Cards!!!

So my USAA cards are en route, and I am so happy. Those are secured, two accounts (one for me one for my husband) and those will report to all three bureaus. We will set each other up as authorized users on each account once they arrive.

I also got my First Premier account reopened!! That is an unsecured card, and has high fees, but its a small card that is totally worth it! I am going to treat it like gold, and get my husband set up as an authorized user once I get my card in the mail. This one will also report to all credit bureaus.

I sent in Goodwill letters to some closed accounts on both our credit, asking for them to remove their lates, or remove the trade line completely. It will be nie to see them go away, that is for sure. One is the public record on my husband's credit. It was done in Washington, and I am not even sure what exactly its for, but its been satisfied, and I am hoping they will just remove it since it really does not need to be there any longer. Fingers crossed.

Nice surprise!

So I was going through today's version of the credit reports, and on my husband's I see there are some accounts missing. Just gone. I have not received word from any of them, so I go onto the old version, and pull up my spreadsheet.

Sure enough!! Continental finance is gone! Arrow Financial is gone! First Premier Bank is gone! That is nice to see some headway being made.

I am going to send out some new rounds of PFDs today to see if I can get anyone else to budge. I am also going to fix my spreadsheet to reflect the correct accounts. Here is everything as it stands today:

4 of a kind beats all

I got notification in the mail today, the 4th AFNI account has been unverified, and determined to be one that needs to come off the reports. Got the letter today, went online and pulled my latest reports and it is already off one report and in the process of coming off the other reports!! YEA!!! AFNI is completely and totally gone and I never have to worry about them again!

I also got notification from FNCC that they had sold their account to Midland, which I was pretty sure of. But FNCC was still reporting a balance, so they corrected their entry on the credit reports to read correctly that there is a zero balance. Once I get everything paid and cleared with Midland I will goodwill letter FNCC and hopefully get them to remove the entry.

Verizon wrote back and said that their accounts were correct, which seems odd to me because I actually asked them for account information, not for them to just tell me that they think they are right. So I have to fight with them and see what I can get done there. I had put their name on Planet Feedback, and got a response saying they wanted me to call in. I am not going to call in, but I still have not heard from anyone on anything, so I guess I will keep emailing and see if someone can connect with me online for fast resolution.

This week I have to start tackling CPS and Santander. This will not make me happy, but eventually I have to get them taken care of one way or another. :( They are the two biggest accounts effecting my husband's and my credit. We'll see how this goes! It should be just as easy as a small $75 bill, but its not. Santander is a company I have not had to deal with yet, so they are foreign and I have no idea how they are going to respond. CPS is the devil incarnate. They are evil, rude, mean, and unwilling to work with us on making things easy. I have to have a lawyer deal with them, because honestly they worry me.

GONE!

Just pulled today's credit reports.

3 AFNI accounts - Completely gone
Gulf Coast Collections - Completely gone
Financial Credit Services - Completely gone
United Compucredit - Completely gone
BCA Collections - Completely gone

7 collection accounts have completely disappeared from my credit report!!! I am so happy! And I was unable to go get the mail yesterday, plus I am late in getting it today, so who knows what goodies await me there! This is so much fun to do this...i know...weird, right?

Now I have to look at the reports and see who to tackle next. I am a little perplexed as to why I have not received much of a response from my husband's reports and collections. I am sure we will eventually, though.

Well, ok then!!

The account with AFNI, the one that they stated they had verified and wanted me to pay? I got a letter in the mail today saying that the account is closed and they are instructing the credit reporting agencies to remove it!!!

WOOHOOO!!!

Two more to go with that company and then I will be done!

BCA is officially completely gone from all three credit reports. I am so happy!!! My check is in the mail to them and could not be more ecstatic.

I got a response from Continental Finance saying they were not required to validate a debt because they were not a collection agency, and they needed all of my information to verify what account my husband held with them. Well that is BS. It sounds like they cannot find our account. We never had an account with them anyway so this whole entry is bogus. I am sending them another letter giving them that info, and telling them they have to provide me with the info so I can file a police report as to the fraud. We'll see if they answer that.

TransUnion is saying we did not provide enough info in our dispute letter we sent. I am not happy with them. They are saying we have not provided enough information to identify ourselves in order for them to work on my dispute. Now I have to get tons more stuff to prove our address. They require too much work.

Experian has said they validated the Santander account. That is absolute BS because the account is not valid. So I am going to get my lawyer on the Santander account. They will have to remove it eventually.

2 more down!!!

Went to pick up the mail today. Found a pretty little green card waiting for me, then I saw there was a nice stack of letters. Again, so weird to be excited over hearing back from collection agents.

First one I open, its from Hooters. I was denied for their credit card. Boo. I so wanted a hooters card!! lol I will call for a reconsideration when I get a few more things taken off. I see they check TransUnion only and that seems to update pretty well.

Second I open is from United Compucredit. They have no validation information for me and are deleting!!! YAY! One bill I don't have to pay, although it was not huge.

Next thing I open is a letter from AFNI. They have verified my 199 Verizon debt, and want to see it paid. Ok, no prob. Now that I have validation then I can deal with them correctly. I prepared a letter with another PFD offer, asking them to consider a PFD for full payment. Hopefully this time they will read the letter.

Next I open a thin envelope. Its from ANFI again! Its about the bellsouth account! They can't validate so they are removing the account from the credit reports!!! Another one I don't have to pay! Yippeee!!

Then I open a letter from BCA. Its the itemized bill from Disney world. I am not sure if it was paid, but now I have the info to go back to my bank and search records. I have already set up a PFD with them, so that is easy for me to just file away.

Its so nice to be getting this stuff taken care of. It feels so good to see things come off.

I love green cards!!!

I got 4 more in the mail today. I am only missing them from a few collectors now. I can't wait to have them all. It just ensures that I have proof they received my communication.

It seems some collectors are confused with the PFD. They think I want to dispute everything, but really I am just trying to pay them off for the most part and get it all cleared off the reports. Its very simple, but they are making it complicated. I am not sure why. Its not that complicated.

I sent emails to ANFI to see if they will accept my PFD through the electronic media. I know they received the paper letter, because I have their green cards. So I figure now any communication in writing is good. I will still require an email stating they are going to remove the trade lines once I pay. They have responded stating they are going to investigate. I sent another email today letting them know I wanted to be sure they knew I wanted to pay off the debts in full. Lets hope they respond well. :)

I am going to hunt for other email addresses to see if I can get through to anyone else electronically.
